In 2006, we started Tulas with one simple aim: give students an honest, genuine education that prepares them for life, not just for exams. We were a small institute with a big intention. We did not have the size or the name we have today, but we had a clear belief that education is not about filling a certificate, it is about preparing a young person to stand on their own feet.

20 years have passed. Step by step, with focus on good teaching, strong research and industry linked learning, that small institute has grown into Tulas University. This did not happen by accident. Every year we asked ourselves one honest question: are we actually helping our students, or are we just growing in size?

Today we teach Engineering, Agriculture, Computer Applications, Business Administration, Journalism & Mass Communication, Pharmacy and Law, at both UG and PG level. As a university now, we have the freedom to introduce new programs in the coming years, and we intend to use that freedom carefully, not carelessly. Our 22 acre campus in Doon Valley has grown alongside our academics, but our purpose has not changed — a strong education that leads to a real career, not just a degree on paper.

Over these years, I have also been recognised with the Indira Gandhi Sadbhavna Award, the Rajeev Gandhi Shiromani Award, and the Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel Rashtriya Ekta Award, among others. I mention this because each of these moments reminded me that education carries a national responsibility, not just an institutional one.

Becoming a university is not a finish line for us. It is the beginning of a greater responsibility, to keep doing more for our students, and for our country. That is the promise Tulas University stands on.
