Dr. Shailendra Kumar Tiwary is an accomplished academic leader, researcher, and industry professional with over three decades of experience spanning higher education, research, and industry. Currently serving as Pro Vice Chancellor at Tulas University, Dehradun, he has previously served as Dean Academics/ Engineering & Technology at KIET Group of Institutions, Ghaziabad, Dean at Galgotias University, Greater Noida, and Professor & Head at DIT University, Dehradun.

A Civil Engineering graduate from M.S.R.I.T. Bangalore, Dr. Tiwary earned his master's and Ph.D. degrees from M.I.T. Muzaffarpur. He began his academic journey as a faculty member at one of the oldest Government Engineering Colleges of Bihar — Muzaffarpur Institute of Technology — and served there for 16 years.

Over the years, he has led several initiatives to accelerate growth in academic institutions, educational technology, implementation of Outcome Based Education and accreditation. He has a proven track record in strategic planning, leadership, and institutional transformation.

At his previous organizations, he played a key role in strengthening academic systems, industry-academia collaborations, and quality initiatives that contributed to the university's growth and academic excellence. Dr. Tiwary is widely recognized for integrating industry perspectives into higher education and for driving technology-enabled learning ecosystems, digital academic processes, and AI-enabled educational innovation. His focus areas include quality education, institutional development, and educational transformation aligned with NEP 2020.

His specialization is in the field of Structural Engineering. He has contributed several research papers in journals and presented several papers in conferences. His research interests include Design of Concrete Structures, Prestressed Concrete Structures, and Steel Structures. He has carried out several consultancy assignments for organizations like NHAI, NHPC, Govt. of Bihar, etc.
