The Delhi–Dehradun Expressway, opened in April 2026, cuts the drive from Delhi to about 2.5 hours. National highways link the city to all of north India.
Dehradun railway station has daily trains to Delhi and metro cities, including fast Shatabdi and Vande Bharat services, plus trains to Lucknow and Varanasi.
Jolly Grant Airport is about 25 km from the city, with direct flights to Delhi and other major Indian cities.

Dehradun has four seasons: cool winters (Dec–Feb), a warm, crisp spring (Mar–Apr) that's best for treks and fests, a moderate summer (May–Jun) with cool hill stations close by, and a heavy monsoon (Jul–Sep) that turns the valley green.
Mussoorie, Dhanaulti, Rishikesh and Haridwar are all within a two-hour drive — hill stations, holy cities, waterfalls and white-water rafting are all a short drive from campus.
