All You Need to know About New Education Policy 2020

The New Education Policy which was approved on 29th July by the Union Ministry of Human Resource Development is the first education policy of the 21st century. The policy also replaces the 34 year old National Policy on Education which was established in 1986. The new education policy originated on the foundational verticals of equity, quality, access, affordability and accountability. This policy is allied with the 2030 agenda which focuses on sustainable development and aims to transform India into an enhanced knowledge hub along with worldwide knowledge superpower.

Among a lot of changes, the major ones that are executed in higher education include:

Restructuring of institutions: The new education policy 2020 will be modifying higher education institutions including the best bba college in Uttarakhand into large multidisciplinary universities, colleges, and higher education institutions clusters, each of which will aim to have 3,000 or more students. Upsurge of GER to 50%: The 2020 education policy intends to upsurge the Gross Enrolment Ratio in higher education including vocational education from 26.3% (2018) to 50% by 2035. Additionally, the policy aims at adding 3.5 crore new seats to the higher education institutions.

Promoting Indian languages: The 2020 education policy recommends setting an Indian Institute of Translation and Interpretation, National Institute (or Institutes) for Pali, Persian and Prakrit, strengthening of Sanskrit and all language departments in HEIs and use of mother tongue/local language as a medium of instruction in several HEI programs.

Professional Education: All professional education will be an integral part of the higher education system and the  Best bba college in India.
