The Start-up India initiative of the Government of India, as envisioned by Prime Minister Narendra Modi aims to build a robust Start-up ecosystem in the country for nurturing innovation and providing opportunities to budding entrepreneurs. This is an exciting time for entrepreneurship and innovation in the country and as the leading Best MBA College in Dehradun, the Graduate School of Business of Tula’s Institute has geared its curriculum and teaching methods to incorporate not just the conventional management lessons but also the new-age developments in business and entrepreneurship.
On 27th April 2018 Startup India’s ‘Startup Uttarakahnd Edition’ organized a workshop for the students of Tula’s Institute. The workshop was organized in association with the Government of Uttarakhand on boosting the idea of indigenous start-ups. The van of ‘Startup India- Startup Uttarakahnd Edition’ has traveled in various cities of Uttarakhand with the objective of spreading awareness about start-up India and Uttarakhand start-up policy. It provides an opportunity to pitch an idea and get selected for the acceleration programs guided and funded by the Indian Government. At Tula’s, we pride ourselves on our academic rigor and at the same time, on the stress, we place on practical and contextual learning. This is what makes Tula’s Institute the Best MBA college in Dehradun.
The program was anchored by Emmanuel Elgin Gabriel from the Graduate School of Business, Tula’s Institute. At the start of the event, the speakers, GM Directorate Industries Shikhar Saxena, Dr. Ajit Nigam and Joginder Singh from Startup gave presentations on Start-up India’s Uttarakhand efforts. They then moved on to a detailed and technical explanation of what the work of startups entail and also explained the pros, cons, and problems that students might face while leading start-ups. The event was very interactive as students from our Institute asked questions, clarified their doubts, contributed to the discussion and debated to get more clarity on different topics within the scope of the event. Later, students presented their Startup ideas and discussed the strengths and weaknesses of ideas among themselves, and with the speakers. Many faculty members of the Institute attended the event to provide inputs and support to the students and this integrated team-work between pupils and faculty is one of the pillars that makes us the Best MBA college in Dehradun. Vice President Technology Raghav Garg, Director of Tula’s Institute Dr. S Suresh Kumar and Dean (Academics) Nishant Saxena also attended the event.
